September 20, 2008
Went out to bluff bar today for some pike. The crew I had landed
21 pike, all between 11" and 45", 5 or 6 largemouth bass, and one really
nice 20lbs. Musky. All the fish were hitting riggers with nk's and
inline boards with large x-raps.

September 16, 2008
Took out the winners of the CD 98.9 fall perch charter giveaway today.
Caught hundreds of perch, kept 60 (south of EC10). The kids had a
blast. Many boats fishing around us commented on what a good time
the kids seemed to be having that day.

August 2008
The fish are still out there. I will be moving my boat back to
Long Point by the 15th of September. So quickly book now to get
out and catch some pickerel! The walleye are very far out in the
lake (19 -23 miles). The picture on the right is from a
double charter (we can arrange for multiple boats for larger groups with
enough notice).

August 8th to 10th, 2008
Have been fishing everyday for the past couple weeks. Haven't had time to post much the fish are in 65 to 67 feet of water, 17
miles out of port. Riggers down 60 to 62 feet, 10 and 7 color
core, dipsies back 160 to 180 have been the ticket. Anything
with purple on a super slim spoon has worked great. As well as
tequila sunrise and orange crush up higher.

|
July 19 & 20, 2008
Rigger have been dead. Fish are primarily in 65' of water.
Hitting 5, 7, and 10 color core, with sunkist super slims, and walleye
whacker being the major producing lure for walleye. Rainbows have
been hitting silver number 1 dipsys, with orange crush super slim back
80-110 on a number 3 setting. Hooking up an average of 40-50 fish
a trip. Here are some pictures of a short charter I ran on
Saturday night after the storm past, only got out for an hour and a
half.

July 17 to 18, 2008

July 11 to 15, 2008
Moved the boat to Port Bruce the boat didn't trailer too well. Had
to run it into Proctor's in Simcoe, feared having to cancel this
weekends charters, luckily they had me on the road again in an hour.
Thanks again to the staff for sticking around for me. Had 2
charters a day all weekend, Friday and Saturday we had mostly all
steelhead. Monday and Tuesday we were into the walleye more,
Tuesdays evening charter finished with 27 walleye, and 3 steelhead.
All of them were caught in 43' of water off 10 color lead core.
Various colors of spoons. |
July 4, 5 ,6, 2008
Fished all over the bay this
weekend. Ended up bass fishing one afternoon with 3 guys we pulled
our limit of bass in 4 1/2 ft. of water, 500- 1000ft
off the steel wall at millionaires. Started fishing pickerel and
steelhead as target species. Ended up finding lots of pickerel,
lots of big pickerel...all around 10lbs!!! Steelhead were out there, very
acrobatic. Unfortunately, the charters had a hard time bringing
them to the boat. All pickerel and steelhead were very high up.
All came off 5 color lead, and jet 40s back 60-120ft.

June 28, 29, 2008
Mother nature seemed to have a lot
to get out of her system this weekend. Only got out for bass due
to the weather conditions. Trolled for bass using 7g rapalas and
fat raps. Caught and released loads of bass out in front of
millionaires in 6 1/2 ft of water. Also went for some perch, in
front of pottahawk. |
June 22, 2008
Great afternoon fishing.
Didn't get out except for this afternoon due to my friend's wedding, a
great time. Wife and I got into some perch. Even got one
measuring 15 inches.

June 18, 2008
Had a family out for a perch
charter. Ended up with a limit. Caught them in 21' of water
on the inside of Bluff Bar,
all caught with minnows (don't know what I would do without Rotten
Ronnie always having bait for me).

June 17, 2008
Rough waters today. Went out
to 80' put down lake trout and steelhead spreads, hooked up 3 steelhead.
Then headed in for calmer water, went to the bluffs perch fishing ended

Went out for a few hours. Put out 3 boards, two riggers, and one
long line out the shoot. Ended up boating 4 pike. Three took
spoons, one took a jointed x-rap. The large one was on a green spoon 200
ft back. |
May
25, 2008
Went for some pike then headed over to Nanticoke for some Silvers.
Took the first pike off a rigger 14' down, on a green monkey puke NK mag.
The next pike was off a board, with an 18g Rapala. Had a hard time
getting into the Silvers. Backed off the shoot into 27 ft. of
water started marking fish, anchored and got some nice sized perch in
good numbers |
| May
24, 2008
Fished all day between the two charters ended up 14 pike and 50 perch.
The pike were tough to get, had to change lures repeatedly. All of
the action came on riggers and boards. The perch were hard to
find, found them in 5 ft. of water just in front of Port Rowan.

unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate. Did however get out
Saturday morning, started at the bluffs didn't last long waves were 4

of perch, lots of sorting. Ended up with about 72 keepers in two
hours, between 8 to 10 inches. |
